The ATEROVAX sPLA2 Activity Test is an enzymatic assay for the determination of secreted phospholipase A2 (sPLA2) activity in human plasma and serum, to be used at present for clinical research only, in conjunction with clinical evaluation, traditional risk factors and available biomarkers as an aid in predicting risk for coronary heart disease.

Principle of the method: Continuous fluorimetric assay using fluorochrome-labeled phospholipids as substrate.
